Dea. Terry L. Travis
Terry LeWayne Travis was born on September 21, 1961 in Evergreen, Alabama. Terry transitioned from his earthly home on November 7, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
At an early age Terry devoted his life to Christ. He was ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of Reverend Dr. John Meeks.
Terry attended Conecuh County High School and went on to receive an Associate Degree from Ed Reid Technical School in Welding. He was employed with Action Resources in Birmingham, Alabama.
Terry never met a stranger. Everyone loved him and enjoyed being in his company. He had an infectious smile and a personality that money couldn’t buy. He was known for his humor and compassionate spirit. He has touched so many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends.
Terry had a passion for life. He loved to fish, hunt, grill, travel, and dance. He loved music and taught himself to play the guitar and piano as well as offered to DJ any event he attended.
Terry is survived by his mother, Lula Travis of Evergreen, Alabama; his son, Terry Travis Jr. of Evergreen, AL; his daughter, Marquita Robinson (Jonathan) of Carterville, GA; two granddaughters, La’Daisha & Brandi McNeil of Cartersville, GA; three brothers, Elisha Travis (Leslyn) of Evergreen, AL, Ronnie Travis (Shelia) of Columbia, SC, Michael Travis, Evergreen, AL; one sister, Erma Brown (Kowalski) of Alpharetta, GA; a dedicated friend and the love of his life, Bobbie Spencer of Century FL; five devoted aunts, Rosetta McCreary, Mattie Travis, Annie Jackson, Annie Jacobs and Mary Travis; a devoted uncle and friend, Alfonza Jackson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins and countless friends.













































Thank you to everyone who has extended prayer, encouraging words and love during this difficult time. Your kindness, compassion and concern for our family mean so much to us.
A special “Thank You” to Mr. David Castleberry for making sure Mom had a hot healthy meal each and every day. Thank you to Ms. Phyllis Richardson for supporting us and making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to our Aunt Annie Pearl Jacobs for never leaving our Mom’s side each day and consistently offering a helping hand. We love all of you and will forever be indebted to you.
