Mr. Albert L. Riley, Sr.
Albert Lewis Riley Sr., son of Rev. Wilson and Bettie Riley. He was born May 12, 1946 in Evergreen, Alabama. He died at his home in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, November 23, 2020. Albert was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Riley Sr., and a sister, Janice P. Riley.
Albert started his spiritual journey at Muhummad Mosque #1 in Detroit, Michigan.
Albert was educated at Conecuh County Training in Evergreen, Alabama. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army on December 2, 1964. He served in the Vietnam War. After his years of service in the military, he moved to Detroit, Michigan. He was employed at Ford Motor Company for many years. After retirement from Ford Motor Company, he moved back home to Evergreen, Alabama. In October 2019, Albert moved back to Detroit, Michigan to be near his children and grandchildren.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Bettie Riley, Evergreen, AL; the mother of his children, Linda Riley, Detroit, MI; two daughters: Larenda Riley of Madison Heights, MI, Myesha (Marlon) Johnson of Detroit, MI; one son, Albert Riley Jr. of Detroit, MI; two grandchildren: Olivia Watson and Marlon Johnson Jr., both of Detroit, MI; one brother, Wilson Riley Jr. of Detroit, MI; six sisters: Mildred Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Annie Riley of Detroit, MI, Alice Watkins, Priscilla (Rev. Earl) Sanders, Debra (Rev. Wayne) Nevlous, Cynthia (Eugene) Nevlous, all of Evergreen, AL; two aunts: Minnie L. Beasley of Evergreen, AL, Rose Collins of Spanish Fort, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
