Mr. Ben Rudolph
Brother Ben Alexander Rudolph was born on November 18, 1923 in Conecuh County, Alabama. He departed life on July 7, 2012 at his home.
He was the eleventh child born to Alex (Tannie) and Ella (Ashley) Rudolph. He was educated in the Conecuh County School System. At an early age he joined Belleville Missionary Baptist Church.
From May 18, 1943 to January 28, 1946 he served in the Army of the United States. He proudly served with the 1704th Engr. Fire Fighter Platoon in World War II. His decorations and citations were the European African Middle Eastern Service Metal with one Bronze Star and World War II Victory Medal.
He met and married Ms. Willie Louise McMillan on January 7, 1947, a union that lasted forty-nine years.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Louise Rudolph; three (3) children, Louis Rudolph, Jeanette Rudolph and John Henry Rudolph; one (1) son-in-law, Minister Bennie L. Salter; six (6) sisters and six (6) brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories ten (10) loving and devoted children, Ester (Elliott) Middleton, Frances Salter, both of Castleberry, AL, Jackie Rudolph (Leroy) Crawford, Louise Rudolph Florla, Glen Rudolph of Hempstead, NY, Rennie Rudolph (Cynthia), Essie D. (Lois) Rudolph, both of Castleberry, AL, Chester Rudolph (Tonya) of Evergreen, AL, Lorenzo Rudolph of Pensacola, FL and Tracy Rudolph of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thirty-one 31 grandchildren; forty (40) great grandchildren; one (1) loving sister, Eunice M. Rudolph White of Belleville, AL; two sisters-in-law, Rose L. Stallworth of Belleville, AL and Minnie K. Stallworth of Pensacola, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (one devoted, Johnny Peters of Belleville, AL).
