Mr. Douglas Graham, Sr.
Douglas Graham was born on October 15, 1926 to the late Charlie Kennedy and Bessie Manning. He was educated in the Alabama School Systems. Douglas moved to Detroit, Michigan in the early 50ths where he met his companion and friend, Annie Graham, who preceded him in death (July 2006).
Douglas and Annie both worked for General Motors when he gave his support to the UAW (United Auto Workers). He received many various awards for the achievements of responsibility of his challenge until he retired and moved to Castleberry, AL. He later joined 2nd Marietta Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon. He respectfully gained the trust in Castleberry and was voted Mayor of the town of Castleberry. Douglas had a great compassion for his family and the elderly.
After an extended illness he surrendered his life to the call of Christ on December 31, 2015. Cherished memories he leaves to his four children, Richard, Douglas (Donna), Joan (Michael) and Lisa (Kenneth). Also left to cherish his memories are his grandchildren, Keith L., Kenneth L., Keith G. Kimberly, Keia, Kayra (Carl), Kountney, Dale (Tony), Robin, Walter, Leoshea (John), Linon, Jason, Doug III, India, Rickey, Eric, Erica and Rekita; special lifelong friends, Richard, Emmie and Norma; special cousin, Cecile Picou and god-son, Michael Moncrease.
Three children, David, Hazel and Wanda, also preceded him in death.
