Mr. Freddie Dukes
Freddie Dukes was born February 2, 1957 to the late Tommy Dukes, Sr., and Mazarine Dukes in Burnt Corn, Alabama. He departed this life March 5, 2016 at his sister’s residence (Elsie Sanders) in Evergreen, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers: Aljae Lee, Tommy Lee Dukes, Jr. and John H. Dukes.
He was educated in the Conecuh County School System.
At an early age, he joined New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church. Freddie was kind and loving. A man of a very few words, he was a lover of music.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, one daughter, Tangela McMillian; three grandchildren: Eddie Watkins, Jr., Jenesis Roach and Lakenzleigh; five sisters: Mary O. (Perry) Simon, Christine Bollings, Michele Dukes of Westbury Long Island, New York, Lucille Franklin, Burnt Corn, Alabama, Elsie Sanders of Evergreen, Alabama; five brothers: Roosevelt Dukes, Robert Dukes, Burnt Corn, Alabama, Charlie Dukes, Brewton, Alabama, Frazier Bill (Karen) of Atlanta, Georgia, Eddie Dukes, of Evergreen, Alabama; two sisters-in-laws: Mildred Lee and Lucille Dukes of Evergreen, Alabama; one aunt, Annie Ruth Grace, Bay Minette, Alabama; one uncle, Devitt Lee of Moss Point, Mississippi; one devoted friend and caretaker, Mr. Thomas Wiggins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
