Mr. Henry B. Strong, Jr.
Henry B. Strong, Jr. was the second child of six children born to Henry B. Strong, Sr. and Clara N. (Perkins) Strong on June 24, 1943 in Hillsboro, Alabama. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kamarion Montrell Gandy.
At an early age, he accepted Christ. He was united with First Baptist Church, where he was a faithful Sunday School and church member until he was suddenly called to eternal rest on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
Henry was united in marriage to Mamie R. Bonam. To that union, one child was born.
Henry received his education in the Conecuh County School System and graduated in 1960.
He was drafted into the Army, where he proudly served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his four children: Michele Bonam of Birmingham, Alabama, Harriet, Mitchell, and Bjai Gandy, all of Evergreen, Alabama; his sisters: Wilma S. Strong (Eddie) Washington of New York, Gwendolyn N. Davis of Coral Springs, Florida; his brothers: Nathan D. of Evergreen, Alabama, Kenneth E. (Johndlyn) of Montgomery, Alabama, Charles A. (Faye) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
