Mr. James Wiley, Sr.
Mr. James Wiley, Sr. was born March 15, 1930 in Calhoun, Alabama to Willie Wiley, Sr. and Mary Ann Wiley.
He attended school in Lowndes County, Alabama. He graduated from Conecuh County Training School. He is a U. S. Army Veteran. He was employed by T. R. Miller Lumber Company and the Container of Brewton, Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Wiley, Sr. and Mary Ann Wiley; one son, James Wiley, Jr.; sisters: Minnie Farmer, Roxie Tyler, Martha Thomas, and Annie Mae Bolling; brothers: Mallet Wiley, Willie Wiley, Jr., and Bennie Wiley, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Minnie Murl Wiley of Castleberry, Alabama; six children: Merita Wiley, Jason (Netta) Wiley, Sr., Carson Wiley, all of Castleberry, Alabama, Shirley Jean Wiley of Mountain View, California, Bernice (Malachi) Gogins of Columbus, Georgia, and Wanda (Juan) Rackley of Pine Level, Alabama; siblings: Arthur (Hattie Bell) Wiley, Sr. and Icephine Crosby; sisters-in-law: Mamie (Clarence) Howard, Verla Dickerson, Dorothy McPherson, Mary Likely, and Reba McCreary. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
