Mr. Jeffery J. Ingram
On September 19, 1984, in Brewton, Alabama, Willie and Irma Ingram welcomed their third son, Jeffery Ingram. The youngest of five children, Jeffery was always a laughing and loving child.
Jeffery is a man remembered for his cheerful personality and genuine selfless service by all who were blessed to know him. He lived for the beauty in enjoying life, wherever it took him. As a man, he demonstrated the distinct drive to accomplish all of his goals despite any obstacle. His greatest accomplishments came in the smallest packages: Diamond Ingram, Taliah Bell, Jordyn Ingram, Bentley Ingram and Jeremiah Ingram. His children remained the truest loves of his life and the lifeline that allowed him to passionately persevere.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2002. At the age of 17, Jeffery joined the Army National Guard and proudly served his country doing three tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. At his passing, Jeffery was a member of the Army Reserve 287th Transportation Company where he exemplified leadership, honor and courage. Among the many awards he received while serving his country were the Army Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. In 2013, Jeffery would go on to obtain his Bachelors of Science in Management from Devry University.
Jeffery attended God Love Holiness Church of Pensacola as a child and went on to attend Jerusalem Baptist Church #2 of Evergreen, AL. Upon his passing, he was a member of Fresh Anointing House of Worship of Montgomery, AL.
On the morning of June 15, 2016, he fought his final fight. Jeffery is preceded in death by his sister, Alexandria Ingram; his maternal grandfather, Tony Mims and his paternal grandparents, Hamon and Dorothy Ingram.
Jeffery leaves in love and legacy his sons and daughters: Diamond, Tailah, Jordyn, Bentley and Jeremiah; parents, Willie and Irma Ingram; grandmother, Minnie Mims; brothers, Julian (Shameka) Ingram and Christopher Ingram; sister, Shishova (Carey) Cheatham; nephews, Julian Ingram and Ja’Karie Cheatham; nieces, Shamia Ingram, Shiniya Cheatham, Neveah McIntyre and Shamarra Ingram; aunts, Minnie (Larry) Mitchell Cox, Betty (Robert) Brooks, Bobbie (MacArthur) George, Loretha (Terry) Anderson, Thelma Gill, Dorothy Rogers, Frances Averette, Mary Mims, Bertha (William) Gassion, Juanita (Green) Gross, Mamie (Matthew) Givens, Mary (John) Dalrymple, Stella (Walter) Peavy, Belinda Mims, Deborah (Isaac) Mitchell and Dawn (Johnny) Caldwell and uncles, William Earl (Patricia) Mitchell, James Ingram and Willie C. (Caroline) Ingram. He also leaves a host of other loving family members and dear friends.
