Mr. John Edward Johnson was born on January 10, 1947 to the late Anderson Johnson Sr. and Janie Benjamin Johnson in Brewton, Alabama - the baby of the family. John attended and graduated from Southern Normal and was a star football player in which is how he got the name Tractor. John and his bothers moved to Los Angeles, CA and started a successful drywall business. After residing in Los Angeles, CA for a while the Johnson brothers left Los Angeles, CA and returned to Brewton, AL in which John continued as the owner of his own drywall business. Upon retirement from his drywall business John began a new adventure in real estate.
John would purchase unwanted and damaged properties and would restore them and lease these properties creating a real estate portfolio throughout Brewton, AL. John’s latest endeavor was car restoration. As you can see retirement was not really an option for John as he always found a way to keep busy. John was a man of few words, but his presence was huge. John was an avid sportsman in which he enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was a member of the Brewton Gun & Rod Club. His boisterous personality and silly jokes will be missed by all who knew him.
Words of thanks seem so inadequate for all the kindness that have been bestowed upon our family. We thank you for the encouraging visits, the comforting calls, the lovely cards, the beautiful floral arrangements, and the sincere words of solace. We are eternally grateful.
