My condolences to your family. When we lose someone dear to us a feeling of helplessness engulfs us. Did you know that at Isaiah 26:17 God promises that the dead will live again? Even though death it is a difficult thing to go through, the scripture at Psalm 55:22 can help to give us comfort in our time of need, it says: “Throw your burden on Jehovah and he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall.” Isn’t that encouraging and reassuring? So may you draw close to God in prayer and know that he will bring you the comfort of knowing that “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.” (Revelation 21:3,4) As the days and weeks pass, and you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the Bible’s loving promises.
