Mr. Nubie Meeks
Brother Nubie “Goodfoot” Meeks was born on May 20, 1947 to Finch Meeks Jr. and Mable Taliaferro Meeks; both of whom preceded him in death. He transitioned from this natural life to his reward on August 30, 2020 at the LV Stabler Memorial Hospital located in Greenville, Alabama.
Brother Nubie confessed Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of the Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He attended Conecuh County Training School and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1966; being hailed by many as the best dress in his class.
Numerous people knew him for his matchless wit, charm, and sense of humor. While others recognized him as an all-around farmer and a proud workaholic that stayed busy. Arthur, Fred and Bob McCreary as well as George and Lisa Pritchett are just a few names that can attest to his workmanship.
On March 28, 1970, Nubie married Crystal Marie Cannon, who also preceded him in death, and to that union one child was born. Two brothers, John W. Meeks and Elvis U. Meeks, have also preceded him in death.
He leaves one loving and devoted daughter, Cherone Meeks; two grandchildren, Cornelius Meeks and Crystal Meeks; three handsome grandsons by the names of Cayden, Jace, and Jaxon; one sister, Gertrude Butler; two brothers, Wade F. Meeks and the especially caring and faithful “Captain” Otis Meeks and a multitude of the dearest of nieces and nephews, loving relatives, and lifelong friends all to cherish his memories.

In our hour of bereavement, we; the family of the late Nubie Meeks, would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for all of the love and acts of kindness shown toward us at such a difficult time. There are so many special people all over the world, but none have touched our hearts quite like you. May God richly bless each of you; may He make more people like you.
