Mr. Terry Coker Brown
Terry was born to Clarence McCovery and the late Mary Coker Brown on May 12, 1968. Terry Coker Brown died peacefully in his Atmore, AL home on Monday, December 31, 2018.
Terry was raised in the China Community in Evergreen, AL where he was nicknamed “King of the Dirt Road”. He graduated from Lyeffion High School in Evergreen, AL.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Coker Brown; two sisters, Bobbie “Foxy Mama” Devers and Mary Brown; brother, Willie “Pete” Brown and son, Terry Coker Jr. “TJ”.
Terry was a master with his hands. He found it seamless to rebuild an engine at the snap of his fingers. He loved filling the bellies of the community and beyond with his finger licking bar-b-que. Terry also found joy in sharing his talents to the likes of his son, “Papa”, nephew, Torrence “Chunky” Simpson and Willie “Screwball” Fantroy, just to name a few.
Terry leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda; daughter, Adrianna of Huntsville, AL; six sons, Anthony of Atmore, AL, Elijah “Bo” and Terrius “Pooh”, both of Orlando, FL, Terry “Papa”, Thomas Earl “TK”, and Justin, all of Atmore, AL; father, Clarence of Evergreen, AL; brothers, David (Brenda) of Little Rock, AR, Johnny Ray (Yolanda) Brown, Timothy (Sharon) Brown, both of Evergreen, AL, Freddie Brown, Sylvester Brown and Roosevelt Brown all of Atmore, AL; one sister Karen (Frazier) Dukes of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Tarus and La’Tarius, both of Huntsville, AL, and Keondre and Ja’Shanae, both of Atmore. AL; two devoted nieces, Veronica Cosby of Richmond, IN and Cynthia McCovery of Evergreen, AL; three devoted nephews, Steven Branch of Omaha, NE, Cornelius Dean “Phat” and Torrence Simpson “Chunky” of Evergreen, AL; three devoted friends, Zollie and Ollie Willis and Willie “Earl J” King, both of Evergreen, AL; a devoted sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Ollison of Atmore, AL and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
