Mr. Theodore R. Woods
Theodore Rosevelt Woods was born November 24, 1943 in Evergreen (Needmore), Alabama to the late Cassie and Rene Mae Woods. Preceding him in death was his wife of 32 years, Juanita Lynam Woods; one brother, Woodrow Woods, and one sister, Irene Woods.
He attended Needmore Elementary School in Needmore and graduated from Conecuh County Training School in Evergreen, Alabama.
He joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age, and remained a member until his death. He was also a member of Starlington Lodge No. 572 out of Mixonville, Alabama. Theodore was a member of the St. John Male Chorus.
Theodore leaves to cherish his memories, children: Michael O’Neal (Treena) Woods, Lisa (Anthony) Noguera both of Evergreen, Alabama; Dr. Mariel (Darnell) Moore, Montgomery, Alabama; one devoted grandson, Jalen Terrel Noguera; one devoted granddaughter, Melissa Dees; grandchildren: Michael O’Neal Woods Jr., Ieshia Woods, Michael Moore, and Chantell Esters; two great-grandchildren: Anaya Shell and Elisha Dees; one devoted nephew, Calvin David (Amanda) Moye; four sisters: Helen Barens, Gelene (Joseph) Salter, Evangelist Myrtle (Elder Charles) Baree, all of Chicago, Illinois; Roosetta (Wardell) Smith, Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers: Cassie Woods, and Howard Woods; sisters-in-law: Mary Woods, Andalusia, Alabama, Ethel Ruth Knight, Pensacola, Florida, Melody Lyons, Leila Mae (Darnell) King, Evergreen, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Cheyenne (Janet) Lynam of Evergreen, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
With sincere appreciation, the family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks for the many acts of kindness shown during the passing of our love one. Your thoughtfulness will not go unnoticed.
