Timmie Randy Williams, known to us as “Randy” and “Dusty Rose,” was born on March 6, 1965 to Bernard and Rosie Mae Williams in Conecuh County, Alabama. Randy was the sixth child born of seven.
He received his formal education at T. R. Miller High School, where he was on the basketball team and a 1983 graduate.
Randy accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age with First Saint Siloam Baptist Church in Brewton, Alabama.
Randy was truly a blessing to his family and kept the love for family rooted deep in his heart. He is preceded in death by his loving father, Bernard Williams; mother, Rosie Mae Williams; beloved brothers: Bernard Jr., Billy Carl and Henry Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted sister, Evelyn Daniels, Thelma Walton (the late Henry L. Walton), and Carolyn Williams (David Crook Jr.); five children: Demetrius Rankins, Mobile, AL; Randy and Brandy Rutledge, Castleberry, AL; Saporcha and Deonte Powell, Brewton, AL; eight grandchildren: D.J., Randy and Layla Presley, Ca’Maijah Hines, Kyion Barlow, Kalea and Karmello Powell, Sophie Quick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
Randy will be truly missed by all who loved and had contact with him. His presence was a mood changer, and you were guaranteed to get a good laugh if he was around.
The family of the late Randy Williams acknowledges with sincere appreciation, the comforting messages, floral tributes and other expressions of kindness during this time of bereavement. May God Bless and keep all of you.
