Mr. Vernon Sanders
Mr. Vernon “Ran-Ran” Durand Sanders was born April 21, 1987 in Conecuh County to Carl and Verna Sanders. Vernon was called Home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2012 at Evergreen Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Narvel Lee and Cleo Henry.
At an early age Vernon accepted Christ as his Savior. He served on the Usher Boar and song with the Youth Choir. He was frequently known to sing or hum his favorite song; “I’m A Living Testimony”. “Ran-Ran” as he was affectionately called, was often noted by his wonderful smile and his compassion for others. He never met a stranger; often times the strangers he met became a friend for life. We must not forget he had very attractive big eyes that everyone loved to see. Ran-Ran was a happy and courageous person, as this best suited his character.
Vernon begin this elementary education at Castleberry School, now Conecuh County Junior High School; then continued at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, Alabama and then continued at W.S. Neal High School, Brewton, Alabama, graduating with the class of 2005. After high school he continued his education and enrolled at Jefferson Davis community College, Brewton, Alabama. There he studied Computer Information Systems. During his lifetime he worked a number of jobs.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Carl and Verna Sanders; three brothers, Carl “Boobie” Sanders Jr., Paul and Leonard “Len” Kelly and Quadrae Riley; three daughters, Tyunna “Yun-Yun” and Zaricka Sanders and Gracie Miracle; one step-daughter, Angel McIntyre; one step-son, Jatavius McIntyre; one expected son, Vernon Durand Sanders Jr.; two god-mothers, Geanetta Henry and Iola Riley; five god-sisters, Dea’na Sanders, Shericka Morrissette, Tytiunna Miller, Mercedes Pleasant and Mahoganie Garrison; grandmother, Evelyn Sanders; six uncles, Willie Sanders, Boston, Massachusetts, Ronnie (Shon) Steven of Castleberry, AL, Andrew Henry of Andalusia, Alabama, Ray Von (Ruth) Henry of Aliceville, Alabama and Claude Ray (Della) of Birmingham, Alabama; fourteen aunts, Maxine Sanders of Castleberry, Alabama, Pearlean (Wiley) Grace of Belleville, Alabama, Diane (Earnest) of Evergreen, Alabama, Sheila (Ronnie) Travis of South Carolina, Lesa Sanders (John Booker), Patrice (Rod) Washington, both of Brewton, Alabama, Monica Sanders of Castleberry, Alabama, Shirley (James) Neal, Mary Stallworth, Geanetta Henry, all of Pensacola, Florida; Ruby Pleasant, Arnita (Kendall Roach), Karen Lois (Anthony) Cunningham, all of Evergreen, Alabama and Anna Faye Johnson of Andalusia, Alabama; his special love, LaShandra “Nikki” McIntyre; several special cousins and friends, Joshua Johnson, Man-Man Henry, Rodericho Henry, Terrell Sanders, Seneca Grace, Bryan Boykin, Justin Roach, Sylvester Jones, Eric, Virgil “V.C.” Lymon, Terry “T.J.” Floyd, Marquis; a devoted friend, LaToya Floyd and numerous other cousins, other relatives and a host of other friends.













































We, the family of Mr. Vernon Durand Sanders, express our heartfelt appreciation for the outpour of love and sympathy shown to us during this very, very, very difficult time. We thank you for the prayers, phone calls, food, flowers or whatever part that you may have played. May God be your pilot as everyone travel back to their various destinations.
