Mr. Willie E. Littles
Willie Ervin “Bill” Littles was born on August 22, 1949, in Brewton, Alabama, the eighth child of Hardy and Vora Littles. At an early age Bill gave his life to Christ.
Bill attended local schools and after graduating high school from Southern Normal School he received an athletic scholarship in basketball to Alabama State University. His basketball career was short-lived as he was drafted into the United States Army.
After serving his country Bill returned to his hometown of East Brewton and enrolled at Jefferson Davis Community College where in 1973 he earned an Associate of Science degree. In 1975 he attended Larkin Business School and received a Business Certificate.
Bill met the love of his life, Wanda Regina Wilson “Gennie” while at Southern Normal School and on May 17, 1974 they were married, and thus began 41 years together.
Bill was active in the community of Brewton. He believed that community service helped to build a rich and supportive community. He served on the Brewton City Board of Education, the Brewton YMCA Board, the Brewton Sportsman Club and the City Council (District 3) of Brewton.
Bill leaves behind his wife, Wanda; daughters, Tomeka Littles Thiam of Greensboro, North Carolina and Tinker (Draper) Rogers of Gardendale, Alabama; granddaughters, Zoe and Piper Rogers of Gardendale, Alabama; three sisters, Lottie (Ulysses) Norris of Monticello, Georgia, Delores (Charles) Stallworth of Mobile, Alabama and Minnie (William) Stallworth of Brewton, Alabama; three brothers, Dr. Douglas (Dr. Marcia) Littles of Mobile, Alabama, Hardy Littles Jr. and Herbert (Elizabeth) Littles, both of Brewton, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
