Mr. Willie F. Floyd
Willie Frank Floyd was born in Conecuh County, Evergreen, Alabama on June 15, 1953 to the late Willie James Floyd and Johnnie Mae Floyd. He departed this life on April 8, 2017. Also preceding him in death was his grandmother, Clarie Mae Thomas; sisters: Barbara Beatty and Christine Thomas; brothers: Carl Floyd and Curtis Floyd.
He joined Westside Baptist Church and later joined the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
He attended the Conecuh County Training School. He later joined the United States Army and the Alabama National Guard, retiring after twenty years. He received a degree from Reid State in Carpentry, and then Jefferson Davis for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He worked at National Butane and retired from South Alabama Gas.
He was the town hero when it came to fixing appliances, but everyone knew his passion was fishing and hunting. He was a great husband, father, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Phyllis Floyd; children: Joseph Eliard, Beronica (Leon) Dailey, Michael Floyd, Cory Floyd, Tomeka Floyd; adopted son, Kenneth Ray; grandchildren: LaKedra, Bre’Yona, Donovan, Alekseya, Maison, MiaKayla, Javarius, J’Niyah; sister, Lisa Ausby; brothers: Terry (Tammy) Floyd, David (Gloria) Floyd; faithful niece, Erica Floyd; faithful friends: Cleveland Kelly, Kenneth Cunningham, and Leroy Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
