Mr. Albert Roach, Jr., resident of 608 Cobb Street, Brewton, AL passed on October 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 21st, at 2:00pm at the Presley Fluker Brewton Funeral Chapel. 

 

Mr. Albert Lee Houston, Jr., resident of 312 Preyer Street, Evergreen, AL passed on October 15, 2014. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 22nd, at 11:00am, at Magnolia Cemetery, Evergreen, AL - Graveside Service.  Rev. J.O. Meeks, Officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4-6:00pm at the Presley Fluker Evergreen Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Willie Likely Sr.

Mr. Willie James “Peto” Likely Sr. was born February 15, 1928 in Conecuh County, Alabama to the late Roberta and Will Likely. He departed this life on October 12, 2012.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Likely and Sam McCreary; two sisters, Sallie Bell Straughn and Charlotte Lane and one daughter-in-law, Charetta Likely.

Mr. Likely united with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He later relocated to Evergreen, Alabama where he met and married Ms. Aszie “Lee” Likely. Willie was hard working and loved to fish and hunt. Willie loved to laugh and tell jokes, his smile could light up a room. 

Left to cherish his memories is a devoted wife, Aszie Likely; three sons, Willie James Likely Jr., Frankie McKenzel Likely (Shanon) and Steven Gary Likely, all of Evergreen, AL; three brothers-in-law, Frank Porter, Robert Franklin and Cleveland Franklin; four sisters-in-law, Lillie Bell Glen, Annie Shaw, Rosie Likely and Dora Parter, all of Evergreen, Alabama; three grands (one devoted, Demetrius Likely), Corey Harris and Damien Le Bron Likely; one granddaughter, Jayla Rose Brown, all of Conecuh County; a devoted nephew, Frank Cortez McQueen of Columbus, Ohio; two devoted in-laws, Thelma Anderson and Regina Redmon; one devoted cousin, Dwight Pleasant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family of the late Willie James Likely Sr. would like to express our sincere gratitude for the sympathy and kindness shown by each and everyone. Your expressions of love will be always remembered. May God’s richest blessings be with each of you.
