Mrs. Ada Peters
Mrs. Ada “BigMa” Peters, born September 15, 1937 was the wife of the late John Lee Peters. She was born in Conecuh County, the daughter of Jack and Sular Tucker. On April 15, 2016, she gained her wings and joined the King. She was preceded in death by one child, Johnnie Peters, Jr., and ten brothers and sisters.
A member of Hamden Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, she praised God in her own way. She was a strong provider, loving, caring, and preparing us for the day. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and throwing her own birthday parties.
She leaves to cherish her memories, six children: Leon Tucker, Diane (Kenneth) Boykin, Shirley Maxwell, Willie (Crystal) Peters, Joe Ann (Stan) Grace and Lionel Peters; fifteen grandchildren, five of which she raised as her own, Anthony, Mashae, Shantrice, Gable, and Shymour; three great-granddaughters: Bell Bell, Red, and Lay Lay; four sister-in-laws: Mary D. Tucker, Annie Peters, Ronnie Peters, Mildred Peters; and two brother-in-laws.
