Mrs. Bettie R. McMillian
Mrs. Bettie Ruth Stallworth McMillian was born August 5, 1943 to Annie Ruth and Albert Stallworth. Bettie was preceded in death by both parents, one sister, Hazel Byrd, and three brothers: Eddie Ray, Frank, and Roger.
Bettie was raised in the Fairview Community where she united with the Union Missionary Baptist Church. After her marriage to Robert McMillian, she moved her membership to the St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was custodian until her health failed.
Bettie was employed with Alatex (Lady Arrow), and later retired after 12 years from the Conecuh County Board of Education, where she served as custodian for Marshall Middle School.
Bettie leaves cherished memories for her husband, Robert L. McMillian; daughter, Veronica McMillian; step-son, John A. (Gwindolyn) Johnson; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sisters: Thelma (Larry) Lee and Josephine Riley, of Evergreen, Alabama, Edda Fay Stallworth, Mary Stallworth, and Delois Spratlin of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Timmey Stallworth of Evergreen, Alabama, Joseph (Beverly) Stallworth, and Marion E. Stallworth of Marietta Georgia, Melvin E. (Annie) Stallworth, of Daleville, Alabama, Albert Jr. (Dorothy) Stallworth of Prescott, Arizona; aunts: Mira Beasley of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Mary Frances Reynolds of Dothan, Alabama; Mable Summore of Marietta Georgia, Rosa (Henry) Hunter of Riley North Carolina; sister-in-laws: Linda McMillian, Mary (Emanuel) Rankins; brother-in-laws: Rev. Roshell (Shirley) McMillion, Loomas McMillian, and Willie Byrd; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
