Mrs. Elnora S. Williams
Elnora Samuel Williams was born on July 3, 1935 in Evergreen, Alabama to the late Henderson and Nettie Samuel. Elnora was the fourth of eleven siblings.
Elnora was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Williams Sr.; son, Frederick Williams; four brothers, Washington Samuel, Eddie Henderson Samuel, Walter Lee Samuel, and Herbert James Samuel and two sisters, Rosa Mae Samuel Williams and Betty Jean Riley.
Elnora was educated in the Conecuh County School System. She became a Christian at an early age and joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Evergreen was also where Elnora met Clarence Williams, the love of her life. Shortly after joining in Holy Matrimony, Clarence and Elnora relocated themselves to Miami, Florida.
After relocating to Miami, she joined Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she sung in the choir. Later she decided to join the Historic Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Pastor’s Aide Board and was a member of Ward #14.
Elnora dedicated over 20 years to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Cafeteria, where she devoted herself to making sure no child went hungry. She was a very patient, loving, and caring women who made sure everyone was taken care of and her home was always open to everyone. Her hobbies included gardening, her love for cooking (especially her famous banana pudding), traveling (going to reunions and reuniting with loved ones), and her Miami Dolphins.
Left to cherish her legacy are seven children, Clarence Williams Jr. (Paula), Gary Louis Williams (Cassandra), Melanie Henderson (Harold), Melinda Hepburn, Lisa Matilda McFadden (Robert), Sheila Robinson (Keith), and Michael Anthony Williams; four sisters, Josephine Ausby of Miami, FL, Luecinda Pitts of Jamaica, NY, Nettie Williams of Yonkers, NY, and Emma Rae Locke (Willie Jr.) of Andalusia, AL; a sister-in-law, Carlene Samuel of Miami, FL, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
