Mrs. Lillie Pearl Brazile
Lillie P. James was born on June 24, 1937 in Evergreen, AL to the late Bill James & Alwilder (Albert) McGlown, who all preceded her in death.
Lillie attended the Conecuh & Escambia County School systems.
Early in life, she united with Second St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. Later she was united in marriage to the late Arthur B. Brazile and moved to Pensacola, FL. Eight children were born to this union. They later moved to Brewton, AL. and joined Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Charitable Aid Association and the choir. She served faithfully until her health failed.
She was employed with Altex in Andalusia, AL for numerous years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Brazile, one son Christopher Brazile, one God Son, Floyd Brazile, one sister, Betty James, and two brothers, U.L. Oliver and Sonny James.
She leaves to cheris her memories: seven children, Arthur (JoAnn) Brazile, William (Etta) Brazile, Phyllis (Carlton) King, LaJoyce Brazile, Robert Brazile, Cynthia Brazile, & Michael (Robin) Brazile, all of Brewton, AL; four sisters, Gladys Samuel, Ella V. Cathron, both of Brewton, AL., Catherine Jackson, Sacramento, CA, Marjorie (Benny) Lemnell, Nahbury, NJ; five brothers, Pastor Ecclesiastes (Inez) Oliver, Omaha, NE, Charles McGlown, Brewton, AL, Joel (Eleanor) James, Houston, TX, Lindsey (Joyce) James, Newark, NJ, Greg (Unis) James, California; two sisters in law, Mammie Floyd, Brewton, AL, and Mary (Herman) Thompson, California; one brother in law, Will Brazile, California; one God Daughter, Mary (Ray) Culliver; twenty five grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
