Ms. Bobbie Jean Dixon
Sister Bobbie Jean Dixon, affectionately called Barbara, was the only daughter of Willie and Rosie Lee McKinney. She was born August 31, 1943 in Century, Florida. This is where she resided until the Lord called her home on June 1, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband (Elbet Dixon), three brothers (Willie McKinney Jr., Eugene McKinney and Eric Allen) and one granddaughter (Dedria Robinson).
She gave of her service to Vanity Fair Corporation, and over five years of service to the Flomaton Police Department. She served as an Eastern Star for 27 years. She graduated from Carver High School. Barbara enjoyed going to church, singing, fishing, cooking, traveling and spending quality time with her family. She was a faithful member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities: choir member, church secretary, Deaconess, Usher Board and Missionary Board.
Sister Bobbie leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Tina Hicks of Century, FL, Rosemary Robinson of Tallahassee, FL, Gina (Hubert) Brown of Tallahassee, FL and Ericka (Sylvester) Kincheon of Austin, TX; five sons, Dewayne (Nekiya) Robinson of Century, FL, Jeffery (Alice) Robinson of Crawfordville, FL, Anthony Robinson of Century, FL, Reginald (Rita) Robinson of Flomaton, AL and Hugh (Anita) McKinney of Century, FL; four brothers, Roy (Barbara) McKinney, James (Cynthia) McKinney, Ollie (Eunice) McKinney and Earl Ray (Erma) Allen, all of Century, FL; 20 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
