Ms. Classie Mae Bogan
Classie Mae Reed was born to the late Early and Bessie Reed on September 27, 1929. She peacefully departed this life on August 6, 2012 at her residence.
Miss. Reed met and married Aljay Bogan Sr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her was one daughter, Lucille Blake; four brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Bogan was a faithful member of the Belleville Faulk A.M.E. Zion Church where she served as a choir member, an usher, Pastor’s Aide Secretary and a deaconess. She attended loyally until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memories eleven children, five boys, Ervin (Debbie) Bogan, Gary (Lisa) Bogan, both of Hempstead, New York, Nathaniel Bogan of Mobile, Alabama, Richard (Crystal) Bogan of Brewton, Alabama and Aljay (Eula) Bogan of Evergreen, Alabama; six daughters, Gladys (Charles) Robbins of Pensacola, Florida, Bessie (Fletcher) Rudolph, Quintella (John) Jackson, Venus (Darrell) Booker, Dr. Eula (Billy) Jackson and Geraldine Bogan, all of Evergreen, Alabama; one sister Lou Ethel Rudolph of Evergreen, Alabama; one brother, Herrie (Dorothy) Reed of Mobile, Alabama; 49 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; a very dear neighbor, John January and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
