Ms. Dorothy E. Johnson
Dorothy Earl Johnson was born on September 11, 1940 in Escambia County, Alabama to the late Jack “Cap” Rankin and Francis Alene Rankin. She had ten children and was much loved by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; also a host of step-children. She was married to the late Charlie Lee Johnson Sr. for 18 years. On December 13, 2016 in Brewton, Alabama, our Heavenly Father called her home to a peaceful rest.
Our mother was a wonderful God fearing mother, who dedicated her life to our Heavenly Father and her family. She also devoted her life to teaching her children and family to also do the Lord’s work. Our mother was an active prayer warrior for her family and many people. She also worked at the West Gate Village Nursing Home, Brewton, Alabama along with several other jobs over the years. Our mother made many friends over the years that love her also. She cared more for others, always listening to always give anyone a word of encouragement. She enjoyed reading her Bible, family time and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family. During this difficult time, God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit He saves. Psalms 34:18
