Ms. Louise Kyser Stallworth
On Sunday, October 5, 2014, Louise Kyser Stallworth exchanged this life for eternity.
Louise Kyser was born July 23, 1940, to the late Augustus and Larce Maye Kyser. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Kyser.
She joined 2nd Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Conecuh County Training School (CCTS) in 1958. After high school graduation, Louise attended Alabama State University – Mobile Campus.
She was united in Holy Matrimony on May 20, 1961 to Claude Stallworth, Jr.; they were married for 53 years. To this union four daughters were born.
After marriage Louise began employment at Lady Arrow; she was the third African American hired at the company. Her employment there was short lived because the family ventured to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, but returned after tow years. Upon return to Conecuh County, she gained employment at Steven Roberts Curtain Company. Louise worked at Steven Roberts for 27 years as a Pleater and remained until the company closed the Evergreen location. In 1998, she began employment at Knud Nielson’s in the Standard Department as a Packer.
Louise was a longtime Young Adult Sunday School Instructor, Matron, Sunday School Secretary and Usher Board Member. She was a faithful member until her health failed.
In the community, Louise was a member of the SCADCO Food Bank Program where she worked with others to distribute food. Louise, who described herself as an “ordinary person”, was always helpful and kind to the elderly in her community. She was a great cook, loved growing flowers and watching humming birds. She may have considered herself an ordinary person, but she instilled the same helpful values and “can do” attitude in her daughters, grand-children, and Sunday School students.
Louise leaves to celebrate her life and legacy, her husband of 53 years, Claude Stallworth, Jr. of Evergreen, AL.
