Ms. Lucy Middleton
Lucy Middleton was born October 19, 1943 to the late David Lee Middleton and Susie Stanton in Conecuh County. Lucy transitioned from this life on July 15, 2017. Lucy was preceded in death by six brothers, Thomas Middleton, John Middleton, James Stanton, Jimmy Stanton, Marion Stanton and Freddie Stanton and one sister, Vera Mae MyLand.
Lucy was a homemaker, not just to her own home, but to many others as well. She had a huge love for children; she took care of so many.
She acknowledged Christ at Belleville Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Sidney Tucker, until her moving to Huntsville, AL where she later attended Refiners Fire, under the leadership of Leslie Eros.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her longtime companion, James O. Williams of Huntsville, AL; three children, Eddie James Middleton of Evergreen, AL, Diane (Tim) Cowan and Donnie Terell Williams, both of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Mattie M. Stanton, Dorothy Stanton, both of Evergreen, AL and Minister Roxie Middleton of Monroeville, AL; four brothers, David (Leticia) Middleton of Milton, FL, Billy Ray (Demetris) Stanton, Albert (Tina) Stanton, both of Evergreen, AL and Elder Bennie (Sheila) Middleton of Gulf Port, MS; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren (one she called “Buggie” was like her own, which she held a special place in her heart); a host of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Alphozo Abbington (that called her “Big Momma”) and a host of other relatives and friends.
