Ms. Magnolia B. Lewis
Magnolia “Janie” Beamon Lewis, was born on March 8, 1927 to Abraham “Wink” Beamon and Eugenia Pullum Beamon in Brewton, AL. Magnolia was a well known member and actively worked on different boards and missionary organizations at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church. At the age of 18, she married John Arthur Lewis, Sr., and to this Union seven children were born. Magnolia worked tirelessly as a Beautician until 2016.
Later in life, as her children were getting older, Jefferson Davis Junior College opened in Brewton; Magnolia took advantage of that and got her GED, and enrolled in Music Classes, which awakened her Love for playing the Piano and Organ. She continued taking music under private teachers traveling to Pensacola, FL. and other places.
Magnolia passed on her Anointing, her Love of Music, to her Generations. With many Musicians In all Generations and more to come! Magnolia Loved People – People of All races and Ages: But More than that, Magnolia Loved The LORD First and foremost!
She leaves to cherish her memory brothers: Embery (Grace) Beamon, Mount Vernon, AL, adopted brothers: Ronnie Beamon and Lonnie Beamon, Las Vegas, NV; Sister, Lillie Pearl (Avon) Hall Highland, CA; Sisters-In-Law: E’Lois Johnson, Chicago, IL, Altha Woods, Frances Stokes, Alice Foney, Chicago, IL and Shirley (Frank) Brown, Pensacola, FL; Children: Loretta Thomas, Montgomery, AL, John (Bernice) Lewis, Brewton, AL, Linda (Winfred) Shipman, Pensacola, FL, Wilhelmina Lewis, Robertsdale, AL, Sandra (Hileary) Culliver, Atmore, AL, Barbara Curry, Brewton, AL, and Kenneth Lewis, Crestview, FL; Twenty-five Grandchildren, Sisty-two Great-Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Great-Grandchildren.
