Ms. Mary A. Oliver
Sister Mary A. Oliver was born October 30, 1942 to the late Deacon Wavie and Eloise Ausby. She was one of ten siblings, sisters: Dot Ausby-Floyd, Helen (Gilbert) Lowe, Lee Ethel Likely, all of Evergreen, AL, Mae (Jerome) Marshall, of Andalusia, AL, Lois (Reverend Essie Rudolph) of Evergreen, AL, Louise Ausby, Patricia (Terry) Smith of Los Angeles, CA and Sherry (Curtis) Lark of Columbus, GA; brother: Reverend Wavie (Tracy) Ausby of Los Angeles, CA.
She was educated in the public school system of Conecuh County, graduating from Conecuh County Training School. She was a part of the workforce at Knud Nielsen, Lady Arrow and Connie Manufacturing.
Mary’s life as a Christian began at New Beulah Baptist Church at a very early age. Though experiencing a period of transitioning, she return to her home church and remained a member until her death.
Sister Mary A. Oliver transitioned to her heavenly life on August 22, 2014. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Keaundra Smith and a sister-in-law, Emma Kyles.
She was once married to Deacon Frank Oliver Jr., to this union was born six children who are left to cherish her memories: Yvette (Jerome) Smith, Cassondra Oliver, Zerria Oliver, Marion Oliver, Fernando (Roselind) Oliver, Marcus Oliver and a devoted god-son, Calvin “CC” Carson, all of Evergreen, Alabama. She was also blessed with eighteen grandchildren of which three, Chree, Khahlie and Marion Jr., reserved a unique bond with her until her passing; ten great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sharolette Moye of Evergreen, Alabama, Synetta Brye and Katie Mae (Nathaniel) Smith, both of Mobile, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (three of which was devoted, Ms. Addie McIntyre, Ms. Linda Stokes and Ms. Ellen Golden).
We, the family of the late Sister Mary A. Oliver, extend our thanks to all of you for your acts of kindness. We shall never forget the warmth that you have shown us during this time. Your prayers for strength, your visits, and your comforting words will have a lasting effect on our lives. A hearty thank you is extended to Evergreen Medical Center and Mallory of Hospice Southern Care.
It is our prayer that God continuously spread His blessings upon all of you abundantly.
