Ms. Mattie Mae Benjamin-Mobley
Mattie Mae Benjamin was born to Simmie and Romain Bradley Benjamin on April 25, 1950 in Conecuh County, Alabama. After a brief illness, Mattie gracefully exited this life for her eternal life on Tuesday, October 16, 2017.
In her earlier years, she attended school at Boykin and was a graduate of the Class of 1968 at Southern Normal. She was united with Sandy Grove Baptist Church and it was there she was baptized. Only God is capable of counting the lives she touched, the happiness she created, and how much love she gave.
She is preceded in death by her parents Simmie and Romain Bradley Benjamin and her brother Elmore Benjamin.
Mattie leaves to cherish her memories a son: Eric Mobley; four grandchildren: Eric Artazia Mobley, Jr., AiSari Grace, Zyan Gabriell-Romain and Zakai Gerard Mobley; three step-children: Tangila and Talyor Mobley and Antonio Davis; her sisters: Goldia Alexander, Inez Benjamin, Hazel Williams, Johnnie Walton, Tina (Larry) Fraser, and Cynthia Benjamin; brothers Lem Benjamin, Simmie (Rosie) Benjamin and Randall (Cathy) Benjamin; aunts: Janie Avant, Mattie Maddox, and Addie Benjamin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and two special people: Joseph (Bob) Mobley and Marie (Dede) Thomas.
